Sentence structure
(+) Positive:subject + have/has been + verb -ing
➡ She has been studying all day.
(-) Negative:subject + haven't/hasn't been + verb -ing
➡ They haven’t been working today.
(?) Questions:Have/Has + subject + been + verb -ing?
➡ Have you been waiting long?
When do we use?
1. An action has been going on for some time (and is still going on)
➡ I’ve been reading this book for 2 hours.
(I've been reading it for 2 hours and I haven't finished it yet.)
2. The action has only just ended, but the effect is now
➡ She’s been crying.(You can see by her face that she was crying.)
➡ I’m tired because I’ve been running.
Typical time expressions:

for (for a number of years / minutes / hours) → for 2 hours, for a long time

since (from a specific moment) → since Monday, since 2010
